Simon Baker new Chartering Director

G2 Ocean has appointed Simon Baker as Chartering Director in South Africa. He replaces John Currie who is retiring after 23 years of service.

As part of G2 Ocean’s strategy for 2020 to 2024, the company is expanding into new markets in Africa and India.

To develop new business opportunities in the region, G2 Ocean is relocating Simon Baker from Singapore to South-Africa. His new position is Chartering Director.

Simon is replacing John Currie who is retiring from his position as Chartering Director after 23 years of service to the company. His contributions will be valued and remembered.

“Together with the G2 Ocean team, I hope to strengthen our position in new markets by continuing to deliver flexible, efficient, safe and sustainable shipping solutions for both current and new customers,” Mr. Baker says.
